Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and optimize CNC milling machines to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using MasterCAM and/or G-code where required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, machining strategies, and cutting parameters to achieve required tolerances and surface finish.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
- Monitor machining performance and troubleshoot tooling, machine, and process-related issues.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
Additional Responsibilities (Senior / Lead Level)
- Plan and coordinate machining processes across milling, grinding, wirecut EDM, and CNC turning operations.
- Define machining methods, operation sequences, tooling strategies, and workflow processes for new and existing components.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for machining and process-related issues.
- Mentor and guide junior machinists by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Collaborate with department leaders to resolve production bottlenecks and optimize manufacturing processes.
Requirements
